Wow, it's been a while!!! I read some awesome books over the summer. I read the entire Harry Potter Series over again, it was so fun to remember things that aren't in the movies.
Some new books that I've read that I would suggest: The Shadow Falls Series by C.C. Hunter (Young Adult Fiction) The Missing Series by Margaret Peterson Haddix The Legend Series by Marie Lu Divergent Series by Veronica Roth Also, there are so many new books coming out: Check out the "What's New?" bulletin board outside the library for details. As you can tell I'm a huge fan of series! I love them so much because once I get to know a character, I want to continue being involved in their life and in their universe. As always, let me know if there are any books you suggest I read. We had a VERY successful book fair this year! Thank you do much for your support! This will give us the opportunity to get new books for the library as well as for the teachers' personal libraries'
This is an exciting time of year because so many new books are being released!! If you love Rick Riordan, his new book in The Heroes of Olympus series, Mark of Athena, is being released today!!! We will hopefully have a copy in the library very soon. It has already been ordered from Scholastic, we are just waiting on our shipment!!! We have already put several newly released books into the library, including: The Rise of Nine by Pittacus Lore (I am Number Four series), The Kill Order by James Dashner (prequel to The Maze Runner series), and Little Women and Me by Lauren Baratz-Logsted. Come in to the library soon and check out these new books! Happy Reading!!!
How was everyone's summer? Mine was amazing!!! I read a ton of really great books this summer that I wanted to share with you. I read the rest of the Shadow Falls Series by C.C. Hunter. I'm working on getting the first on (Born at Midnight) into the library. This is a Young Adult Fiction novel. It's about a girl that goes to a camp where everyone was born at midnight (obviously). She discovers some interesting things about herself, her family, and the other campers!!!
Another Young Adult Fiction series I read this summer was Immortal Beloved by Cate Tiernan. This is a story about a girl who is immortal and has lived for 450 yrs. as a spoiled and frivoulous party girl. She begins to see her best friend in a not-so-flattering light and decides it's time for a change. The first 2 books are out (Immortal Beloved and Darkness Falls) and the final book (Eternally Yours) will be released in November. As you can tell, I am a HUGE fantasy, sci-fi fan. I'm always looking for books outside those genres, so if you have a great book you read this summer let me know! I'd love to read it! Hey everybody, it's been a while since I posted. So I didn't get through Inkheart yet. I bought a new book that was part of a series I have been reading for a while now. Unfortunately, I couldn't remember what had happened earlier in the series, so I started rereading the series...there are now 8 books. However, I do intend to read Hunger Games again before the movie is released in March. If you have not read Hunger Games yet, I suggest you do that and soon. The books are absolutely AMAZING!! I can only hope the movie does this brilliant book justice!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I hope you read some great books over the break. I hope to finish the Underland Chronicles over the break. I've also started reading Inkheart by Cornelia Funke! My next book will be Summer of my German Soldier by Bette Green. Thank you Nely for the suggestion! If you have any books you would like to recommend to me or your fellow classmates, stop by the library and fill out a recommendation card to put on our wall!!! I'd love to hear what books you like. Have a great break!!! READ, READ, READ!!!!
I am currently finishing up book 4 in the Underland Chronicles series by Suzanne Collins. She is the same author who wrote the Hunger Games Trilogy which I absolutely LOVE!!!!! When the library is open, or you can do it on your own, you should check out these books. There are 5 in all. Gregor the Overlander, Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane, Gregor and the Curse of the Warmbloods, Gregor and the Marks of Secret, and Gregor and the Code of Claw. We currently only have book 1, 2, and 4 here in the library, but I hope to remedy that very soon!
For those of you who LOVE Diary of a Wimpy Kid, check out James Patterson's Middle School, the Worst Years of My Life. Also, check out my all time favorite book series, Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay! If you have any book recommendations for me PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE let me know. I'm always looking for a new book to read!
